Due to the ingenious design of the Flex DVD, postage cost is
50% less expensive in any bulk-mailing scenario! The flexible
attributes of the disc allow the Flex DVD to move through sorting
machinery at U.S. Postal Service sort facilities without any type
of special handling. The disc is also 33% lighter than its rigid
standard DVD counterpart. Flex DVD also eliminates breakage in
transit by providing a flexible, resilient disc product that will
almost NEVER crack, break, or become damaged in postal equipment.
If your organization is planning on massive marketing and mailing
out a DVD with greet saving and reaching maximum number of audience
your only solution is the Flex DVD with our automated mailer.

CD Digital Card is now please to announce The Flex Media Mailer,
a newly designed packaging solution that has been approved by
the USPS to be mailed out as an automated letter. Since the Flex
Disc is able bend and weighing less than one ounce you can now
send a DVD at the same rate as sending out a piece of paper in
a standard envelope. In other words, you can now bulk mail a DVD
to your client or target audience as low as $0.19 if the mailing
is sorted and as much as $0.27 if your mailing is not sorted.
The rates vary according to quantities and the number of addresses
in a specific zip code. There are a few different ways to mail
an item as mentioned below which will dictate what rate you will
get on postage from the USPS.
Additionally, the Flex Disc is an eco-friendly alternative to
a standard DVD-5. As corporations and organizations become more
and more conscious of their impact on the environment, the Flex
DVD is clearly a significantly more “green” DVD replication
alternative for these same companies to consider. CD Digital Card’s
mastering and replication technology uses one half the polycarbonate
and chemicals that a standard DVD-5 replication process normally
uses. Over time, the benefits to the environment from pollution
and recycling standpoint are truly significant factors. We also
have green options available on the paper stock for the Flex Media
Mailer to make this a completely cost effective and eco-friendly
to get your message to your clients and audience.
- Enhanced Carrier Routes – This mailing
is used for heavy saturation to a specific area where the mailman
will be delivering it to at least 7 or more addresses on their
route. The mail must be sorted in the order that the carrier delivers
it. Rates are based on weight, shape and the quantity to an individual
carrier; Be part of a single mailing of a least 200 pieces or
50 lbs; Be properly sorted to carrier routes and sequenced; Have
a delivery address that includes the correct ZIP Code; The address
must meet quality and coding standards which CD Digital Card can
provide.
- 5 Digit Sorted – This means you have at
least 150 addresses in the same exact zip code in your mailing
list.
- 3 Digit Sorted – This rate is given to
you for what ever is left over from your mailing that is not in
the same exact zip code and at least has 150 addresses that share
the same first 3 digits of the zip code.
- ADC - This means that what
ever is left over from you’re the 5 and 3 Digit Sort that
can at least go to the same mailing center. For example, if you
were to mail something to Boston, Massachusetts that mailing center
handles all zip codes that start with 021, 022, and 024 in the
zip code. If what is left over from the 5 Digit Sort and 3 Digit
Sort has at least 150 addresses that are serviced by this location
they will be mailed out at the ADC Sorted Rate.
- Mixed AADC – This means what ever is left
over that does not go to the same mailing center and are all different
zip codes handled by different mail centers. This would be the
same exact rate if you did not do any sorting or separating prior
to providing your bulk mailing to the post office.
- DBMC – Stands for the local post office
that services your area but is not the main distribution center
for your region of the state.
- DSCF – Stands for the local post office
that serves as the main distribution center for your region of
the state.
- DDU – Stands for the local post office
that serves the destination zip code of your mailing. For example,
if you are mailing from Hicksville, New York to Rancho Cucamonga,
Ca you would need to provide the mailing already sorted and tested
from a 3 rd party shipping company to the Rancho Cucamonga Mail
Center in 91730 zip code.
